The pure gifts of destiny

Three wise men came
With gifts meaning the same
All pointing in one way
Where a savior’s path lay

Lo, behold
An alter of pure gold
Where once burnt sweet incense
A smell of pure frankincense

He came to pay the price
In the alter of sacrifice
Annointed with holy ointment
Pure myrrh to revert judgment

So he was born
Young, tender and forlorn
And wise men still seek Jesus
The son given for us.

Merry Christmas.
” … And they offered him gifts, gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. ”
Mathew 2, verse 11.
